Artist's Description

The Ristorante Massimo, with its distinctive sign, is right next to the Ceres Bakery on Penhallow Street in Portsmouth, NH. It is in part of the Old Custom House, a historic Portsmouth Building. This was #015 of a series of paintings done en plein aire in the spring and summer of 2014. A commission from Michelle's Bistro, it and 5 others may be seen in their upstairs lounge overlooking Market Square.

You might say he took time for a career, family and life in general for 27 years (hey, we all have times like that.) In 2001, he renewed his interest in painting . A lifelong camera bug, he had developed an understanding of composition, light and color .He is self taught with his art- with the help of the odd seminar. He is a member of the Plein Air Painters of Maine....
